Favorite YT Memory:
In order to help you understand my memory, I’ll have to put a little background to it. I’m from a very small town so opportunities don’t happen often. In ’96, our high school choir jumped at the chance to perform in D.C. On that trip, I remember feeling that I would be able to have this experience again. YT allowed me many opportunities to experience new things, as well as to sing. One time that stands out most in my mind was the evening of the Potomac cruise. As I stood out on the deck enjoying the sunset, a light rain began to fall, and a vibrant rainbow spread across the entire sky. In that moment, I couldn’t help but to sing my gratitude for the incredible experiences and blessings I had been given: “Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee, how great Thou art!”

Favorite YLC Memory:
Wow, this is a tough one. Perhaps it is of spelling YLC out on the Corn Husker’s field at the University of Nebraska, or maybe taking pictures from the bottom of the St. Louis Arch because we were too late to go up to the top, or scattering fireflies while searching campus for crazy scavenger hunt items, or being able to hold my state flag and know that I stood for something worthwhile. But think my favorite YLC memory is in each of the ‘00 group - being able to know them, remember them, and see the successes they are having. That is the greatest memory I cherish, mostly because it continues to happen and I don’t have to just remember.

As far as favorite movie, song, and band… honestly, I don’t have those kinds of favorites. I like those that cause you to think, feel, and relate; thus helping you to understand how to make life a little better.
