Imagine your son or daughter's classroom being the steps of the Lincoln Memorial or the solemn grounds of Arlington National Cemetery. Youth Tour allows your child to focus on the rich history of our nation, from the heroes’ names etched in the Vietnam Wall to the stars representing fallen soldiers on the World War II Memorial.
Besides touring Washington’s historic sites, students will have the opportunity to discuss current issues with their representative and senators. Plus, they will get to meet and interact with students their age from across America .
Students compete for this special opportunity to go to Washington. Please contact your local rural electric cooperative or high school career center for additional information. Details about the chaperones and the trip will be included in the information packet provided by your Statewide Youth Tour Director.
